Hello there, it's Sarah! As one of the original owners of Three Cutters Salon and Skincare in Sunnyside, I am thrilled to share my journey with you. Back in 2017, I had the incredible opportunity to help build this place from the ground up. It was a labor of love, fueled by my passion for hairstyling, my expertise as an Aveda Professional (a national educator for the brand), and my entrepreneurial spirit.
When we first opened our doors, I embarked on this adventure with three amazing business partners. Together, we dreamed big and worked tirelessly to make this salon a success. Fast forward to 2022, and I made a bold move by buying out my first partner, Scott. It was a pivotal moment that allowed me to take even more control of my vision and the direction of the salon. In December of 2023, I made the announcement: I had bought out my remaining two partners, Brad and Justin. This is a defining moment in my career, marking the beginning of a new chapter for Three Cutters Salon and Skincare.
Being the sole owner, I realized a little shakeup is exactly what is needed to breathe new life into the space. And that's precisely why I made the bold decision to rebrand the salon. I wanted to infuse the salon and spa with fresh energy and excitement, to create an experience that would leave our guests buzzing with anticipation.
From the very beginning, when my business partners and I embarked on the journey, we had a shared vision. We knew that one of us would eventually take over and steer this ship solo. For me, it was crucial to reconnect with my true purpose in the beauty industry, my “why”— to make people feel as incredible as they look. Thus the name UpLift Salon and Spa. It reflects our mission to uplift and inspire each and every one of our guests.
Before we delve further into the reasons behind this rebranding, let's take a moment to stroll down memory lane. UpLift, formerly Three Cutters Sunnyside, has been a favorite in the Sunnyside neighborhood of Denver since 2017. We've cultivated a fiercely loyal clientele who trust us to make them look and feel their absolute best. Over the years, we've had the privilege of serving thousands of guests! Our impact extends far beyond the confines of our salon walls. We've poured our hearts into giving back to the community, partnering with non-profit organizations to raise funds for worthy causes. We've also hosted events, empowering our guests with knowledge and skills. And let's not forget, we're not just a small, local business – we're a family. This local salon has played a pivotal role in enabling our team to accomplish personal and professional milestones. From acquiring homes and tying the knot to embracing the arrival of new life and traveling for both leisure and industry education, we have been steadfast companions throughout every step of the journey. Moreover, our team members have also excelled as brand ambassadors and educators, all while consistently delivering exceptional quality services and providing access to a range of organic hair and skin products.
